Associate Director of Healthcare Provider Network Contracting -

As a Director leading our physician contracting team, you'll support, guide and direct the development of provider networks in Colorado and Wyoming. In this role, you will oversee complex negotiations that impact medical unit cost management; engage in accountable care and outcome-based strategy development and execution with local and regional teams; build networks of care; work with other teams in a matrixed environment to align and achieve market goals; and, create and sustain collaborative provider relationships.

The environment you will be working in is fast-paced, challenging, and demanding, so you will be changing priorities often, and reacting to the needs of the marketplace. Primary Responsibilities: Own and/or lead the end to end contracting process including, but not limited to, using available technology to create contracts, negotiate financial and contract terms, and implement executed contracts Provide leadership to the team and is accountable for the team performance and direction through multiple layers of management and senior level leaders Establish and maintain strong business relationships with physician providers and groups, and ensure the network composition includes an appropriate distribution of providers to meet network adequacy standards Develop a detailed, and concise strategy and plan to yield desired outcome of the organization or multiple business units Manage within yearly spend targets for all lines of business operating in the market Apply network configuration and incentive - based payment models as appropriate to improve quality and efficiency Direct and assist others to resolve business problems that affect multiple organizational functions or disciplines Make product, service or process decisions that are most likely to positively impact multiple functions and/ or customer accounts Staff development to improve performance, achieve employee career goals and obtain high employee engagement scores Required Qualifications: Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience 10+ years of experience in a network management-related role handling complex network providers with accountability for business results 10+ years of experience in the health care industry 5+ years of experience in utilizing financial modeling in making rate decisions 3+ years of experience developing and managing a medical cost and administrative budget 5+ years of experience with provider contracting 5+ years of management experience leading high performing teams Knowledge of physician reimbursement code methodologies Strong customer service skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret complex information form others, including but not limited to reimbursement policy standards Strong interpersonal skills, establishing rapport and working well with others Creating and fine tuning provider networks helps improve access to health care for millions.
