**36 month contract- On site. Must be a US Citizen and have and Active Top Secret Clearance.**

Seeking an individual to work within the CFS based team of developers on several software projects. These projects involve frequent releases and patches to support mission needs.

The primary responsibilities of this position are the **development, monitoring, support and deployment of the build systems, environments and software** . This includes **bundling, deployment and test coordination of releases and final configuration management.** **Expectation of the position is that improving existing build and release processes through increased automation, continuous integration/deployment and enhancing automated testing.** Approximately 60% of position effort.

The secondary responsibility of the position is that of technical documentation. Software developed and delivered requires substantial documentation such as; **change logs/release notes, installation and user guides and ICDs** . As such the position will be responsible for working with the developing engineers to produce and/or modify these documents and ensuring their accuracy. Approximately 40% of position effort.This requirement will be in a supporting role to the SW and system architects.

**There are currently more than 20,000 objects in Earth's orbit. Some of these objects are operational satellites performing critical civil, scientific, and military missions. Tracking, monitoring, controlling and defending these satellites is of key national interest. Client develops software for U.S. Government sensors & systems in this mission area. The software is used to perform key functions such as mission planning, data processing & data analysis to support courses of action for the Space Warfighter**

**Education/Professional Certifications**

BS in Computer Science or related discipline such as a **erospace engineering, orbital mechanics, astronomy, physics and optical engineering with five (5) or more years of relevant experience.**

**Skills: Required**

+ **Software will be constructed primarily in Java, and run on a cluster of LINUX computers. Java software development skills and large scale software experience are required.**

+ **Experience in formal software release and build environments.**

+ **Experience with software builds deploying JavaScript.**

+ **Candidates with a background in the following technologies: ANT, IVY, Maven, Hudson, Jenkins, Subversion, GIT, Bamboo, BitBucket, Fisheye, Gulp, Grunt, Node.js, Npm, and Teamforge.**

**Skills: Preferred**

**Candidates with current top secret security clearances is highly preferred. Must have the ability to complete assignments working independently and in a team environment, and effectively present results is highly preferred.**

**Travel: Infrequent** , approximately once every 6 months for a period of 3-4 days.
